1. Subject of Agreement
These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of professional bookbinding, restoration, and handmade stationery services provided by Klepticelyx Pty Ltd to the Client. By placing an order, the Client agrees to these terms in full.
2. Ordering and Booking
All orders are subject to availability and a preliminary assessment of the materials. For restoration work, a physical inspection of the book is required. Booking is confirmed only upon the signing of the estimate and payment of the required deposit as detailed in Article 4.
3. Pricing and GST
All prices quoted on the website and in estimates are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include Goods and Services Tax (GST) at the current rate of 10%. Klepticelyx reserves the right to adjust the final price if the condition of the materials differs significantly from the initial description provided by the Client.
4. Deposits and Payments
To initiate any custom project or restoration, a deposit of 40% of the estimated total is required. The remaining balance is due upon completion of the work and prior to delivery or collection. Rush orders are subject to a 25% surcharge on the total project cost.
5. Cancellations and Amendments
Clients may request amendments to the project specifications before the cutting of materials. Once the materials (leather, linen, or handmade paper) have been cut or prepared for the specific dimensions of the order, the deposit is non-refundable. Cancellations made after work has commenced will be billed for the hours already invested.
6. B2B Terms
For corporate clients and libraries (B2B), payment terms are established at 14 days from the date of the final invoice. Late payments may incur interest as permitted under the Australian Consumer Law.
7. Intellectual Property and Rights
The Client confirms they hold all necessary rights to the text and images provided for binding. Klepticelyx retains the right to photograph the finished work for portfolio purposes, unless a non-disclosure agreement is signed. The physical ownership of the finished edition transfers to the Client upon full payment.
8. Liability and Storage
While every precaution is taken to ensure the safety of original documents, Klepticelyx is not liable for inherent vices in antique materials. Completed orders must be collected within 30 days of notification. Items left beyond this period may be subject to storage fees or disposal.
